Who's that I see off the Port bow? Why it's our good friend Kara back alongside with another great question! Welcome back aboard planDisney! I like the cut of your jib, Kara - look at you, asking the important questions to ensure you leave nothing to chance for your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation! Now that's a planDrew-approved approach if I've ever heard one!
I'm so glad you're asking this question because it's one that often leads to a lot of confusion!
When it comes to pre-arrival testing, you're absolutely correct
that the latest Know Before You Go information states that "Fully vaccinated Guests on sailings departing US and Canadian ports must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result (paid for by the Guest) taken no more than two days before setting sail to be exempt from embarkation testing at the terminal." We can clear up any cloudy water right now by saying that two days are CALENDAR days - so as you suspected it doesn't have to be to the hour. So another mark in the win column for you, Kara!
While you've already scored top marks by staying informed and reading the "know before you go" information, with the frequency policies and procedures are updated, I'd keep a weather eye on them as your cruise gets closer - they really can change like the tides! I have no doubt you would have anyway, but you can never be too prepared for your first Disney Cruise Line vacation!
Thank you so much for your question, Kara! I hope your preparations continue to be smooth sailing, and I have every indication that they will! As always, if you run into any other rough seas, you can always pull into port with us here at planDisney!
We'll SEA ya real soon!
Andrew
