    Thank you for your help answering my question about an upcoming split stay. To follow-up, If I do the dining plan at both resorts, when does the dining plan begin for my 2nd resort, upon check-in or after other meals from the 1st stay were used(that day)?

    Thank you for your patience in my reply! You won't believe it, but I'm answering your question directly from Walt Disney World® Resort on a split-stay of my own. 

    How awesome both your stays include the dining plan! I can see how it might be confusing when overlapping Disney Dining Plans are involved. So, I stopped by the Concierge Desk of my resort hotel and asked their advise on dealing with your overlap. Here is the recommendation I was given: 

    • With an overlap in Disney Dining Plans on a split-stay, your second round of entitlements still go into effect on your transfer day, but your first round of unused entitlements are still active until midnight. 

    • To ensure the correct entitlements are deducted while dining on your overlap day, please make sure you alert your Cast Member/Server that you still have eligible entitlements on your first of two dining plans. Your server has the ability to make sure they "pull your credits" off the first dining plan package, leaving your second dining package in tact. It was stressed to me the importance of communicating with your server your overlap so they use the correct dining plan. 

    • Upon receiving your receipt, check the bottom to ensure "zero entitlements left" is displayed. This way, you'll know for sure the correct ones were used.
