Thank you for all of your great answers. Our two year old Grandaughter is too young for BBB, but I have read that she can get pixie dusted in the BBB boutique. Can you please explain? Do we need reservations?

Well ahoy there Pamela, and a very royal welcome back to planDisney!

It's great to see your questions come in for our team ahead of your voyage with the family, especially when it comes to the grandkids! Stepping into the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on board gives some of our youngest cruisers the opportunity to experience a magical transformation of their own at sea to make them feel just as wonderful as they'll look at the end of their makeover session!

There was once a point in my past Disney life where I was in charge of a bit Pixie Dust myself and would very generously bestow it upon those who wanted it, and am happy to help give you some insight on what this may entail for your granddaughter:

    • Traditionally, a makeover performed by one of the Fairy Godmother's Assistants is finished with a flourish of "Pixie Dust" that they may say is courtesy of Tinker Bell and the friendly fairies of Pixie Hollow.
    • Sometimes this may be in the form of fine, silvery glitter sprinkled gently from a wand while a special protective shield is held to protect eyes and other facial features. At other times, this may be a sprinkle of sparkly confetti, especially for young Knights.
    • In the Theme Parks and across the Disney Cruise Line fleet, guests without a scheduled appointment may be able to pay them a visit and ask nicely to see whether they can receive a bit of Pixie Dust; sometimes a friendly Cast Member may be able to make this magical moment happen!
    • It is important to keep in mind that there is no guarantee as to whether this can be possible and offerings are always subject to change without prior notice - I have personally experienced cruises where there was a distinct shortage of Pixie Dust! (We figured that there must've been something amiss over in Neverland.) I recommend stopping by to ask the Fairy Godmother's Apprentices earlier in the cruise to see whether this is something that they may be able to do on your particular voyage, especially if you come along with your granddaughter at a less-busy time of day!
I also highly recommend taking your granddaughter to the scheduled Open House times in Disney's Oceaneer Club during your sailing, so that she can enjoy these special youth spaces together and take photos of her exploring and experiencing everything alongside you. Who knows - if you mention to one of the friendly Youth Activities Counselors that you've been in search of a bit of Pixie Dust - there's a chance they may even have some tucked away!

I hope that this was helpful, and please don't hesitate to come back to planDisney again to ask me any more questions ahead of your upcoming voyage. Be sure to connect with our Disney Cruise Line specialists Tracie and Adrianna for the oceans of knowledge that they share about cruising!

Wishing you all the best on your quest to find the Pixie Dust!
