Hi thank you for all of your great answers! I am a single mom taking my 3 &8 yr old boys in late august. I'm making ADR next week, and would like a few ideas as to what they may like. I'm already planning chef mickeys, Hollywood and vine, and wcc. Id

Hi Amber, thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am also a single mother to a little boy. Your boys must be so excited for their upcoming Walt Disney World vacation! I think that all of you will absolutely love Chef Mickey's and Whispering Canyon Cafe. They are both high-energy and always great fun. I'm not sure which meals you still need to plan, but I can give you some suggestions based on our favorites:

*Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater Restaurant - This dining experience reminds me of the summer nights at the drive-in from my teen years. You will get your own car to eat in under the night stars while retro movie clips are projected onto a big screen. On our last visit, my son received an honorary Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater driver's license.

*'Ohana - This Restaurant is located at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The breakfast option is a Character Dining Experience with Lilo, Stitch and friends. The dinner option does not have characters, but features fun games  and music throughout your meal.

*The Crystal Palace - This is our favorite breakfast experience. Winnie the Pooh and his Hundred-Acre Wood pals will all come around to your table for pictures and hugs. One time Tigger lifted my son and bounced around with him. He will never forget that moment.

*Tusker House Restaurant - This African-inspired buffet is also a Character Dining Experience. Mickey, Donald and the gang have all donned their safari gear and will each come to your table while you enjoy your meal.

I hope this helps, and if you need anything else, please stop by. Have a magical day!

We love all things Disney and when we aren’t watching Disney films or planning our next vacation, we love to go to touring Disney shows. I also love to cook, listen to music, read books, and paint. With my experience planning vacations and navigating the parks from a single parent’s perspective, I hope to be able to add a little “pixie dust” to your vacation! Learn More About Sarah
