Thank you to Disney for this wonderful addition to their website! I love it! We will be staying in September and are wondering if the extra cost for the Woods View at the Wilderness Lodge is worth it. It's our 1st visit to the Wilderness Lodge.

    Hi Carolyn,

For me, I'd pay the extra cost to upgrade to a woods view because with a standard view you will most likely be looking at a parking lot and probably have to overhear the beeps of trucks.  Even in the Florida heat, I love sitting out on a balcony so that view would be a miserable experience for me.

However, the Wilderness Lodge does have many areas beyond the room, both indoors and outdoors, for guests to enjoy the theming of this amazing resort.  If saving money by not upgrading lets you use the money elsewhere and have peace of mind, that can also be valuable.

So now that I've said both yes and no, I'd probably ask how much time you plan on spending in the room.  If you are going to leave early in the morning and not return until late at night, you probably won't spend much time looking out your balcony door so the view won't matter too much.  If you are more likely to take breaks and be at the resort more, I'd consider the upgrade.  Regardless of the view, I hope you find the Wilderness Lodge as magical as I have!
