Thank you so much, Bernie! We do have a res at Whispering Canyon, so I appreciate the tips! We also have a res at Chef Mickeys at 7:40 a.m. on day -- will we need to drive our own car since it is so early? If so, how long will the trip take?

    Hi Christi!

Thank you for sending  me another question!

I would definitely drive over to the Contemporary Resort.  The boat that runs between the Contemporary Resort, the Wilderness Lodge, and Fort Wilderness will almost certainly not be running early enough so that you can have a leisurely trip to Chef Mickey's.

By the way, you should consider making a reservation at the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness.  It is very easy to get to Fort Wilderness from the Wilderness Lodge; in a future visit to Walt Disney World you might be in a hotel that makes it harder to get to Fort Wilderness and thus you might want to take advantage of your location now.  Hoop Dee Doo is a fun experience for guests of all ages.  My whole family has always enjoyed it and we started taking our youngest son there when he was 2 years old.

Please write back with more questions!  I would be happy to help you plan a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
