Hi-- Thank you all in advance for the great advice. I am bringing my 22 month old son and husband in Sept. I have made several resv for dinners and bkfst. Is Fantasmic something a 22 month old would like and should I make a reservation or plans to see?

    Hi Erin,

Fantasmic! is one of my favorite shows!  Having said that, you may want to skip it with your toddler - I know I've had to miss out on this fun show when my children were this age.  Usually my kids have had a full day by the time the show rolls around, and it just isn't a realistic option.  They're tired and in no mood to sit in a theater to wait for the show to start.  Beyond that, the show gives you a look inside Mickey's imagination -- the good and bad, so villains do play a big role.  It would have frightened my children too much at this age.

I also know that all children are different.  I have seen young children have a great time at Fantasmic!  It's really up to you to decide what your child can or cannot handle.  If you do go, just make sure your child is well rested, so that all of you can enjoy your evening out.  As far as waiting for the show, I've always found that it's a great time to buy one of those light up toys, or save yourself some money and bring a glow stick from home.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
