I have got a text from disney saying I can book dining but I can't book as the dates we are going are greyed out. Is it not 180 days for restaurants anymore?

    Hi Elizabeth!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! 2019 is going to be a great year to visit Walt Disney World Resort! Let's figure out what we can do to make sure that you'll eat well, too!

Dining reservations are able to be made up to 180 days from your Disney vacation days, starting at 7:00 AM EST. But, there are a few exceptions that I can think of. Walt Disney famously said that his theme parks were to never stop growing and improving, so sometimes attractions and dining locations do close to be re-themed to become new experiences. Currently, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue and Artist Point are set to see their last guests before the new year so they can become new establishments soon. Other exceptions are certain special Dining Events, like Dining with an Imagineer, are only hosted a few days a week. And Dessert Events, like the Fantasmic! Dessert & VIP Viewing Experience, open their calendars for booking anywhere between 45 to 120 days in advance of their event date.

Take a look at these 140+ Table-Service restaurants where guests are able to make Dining Reservations in Advance of their vacations. If you're still having trouble booking these, or if everything is still showing that it's unavailable during your vacation dates, give the Disney Dining phone line a call a 0800-16-90-748 and hopefully they can resolve everything for you.

We'll See You in 2019, Elizabeth!
