Hello, Kristian! Welcome to planDisney.
Alaska is one of my favorite Disney Cruise Line itineraries! I love it so much I’ve been twice. There’s nothing like seeing whales swim alongside the ship or eagles soar overhead. I can’t wait for you to experience the picturesque scenery for yourself.
When we moved from Michigan to Florida, I got rid of a lot of our winter weather gear. Elsa might like the cold, but I do not! I found
Alaska to be warmer than I thought it would be. On sunny days, we wore shorts and T-shirts. Dressing in layers is a good plan so that you can adapt to the changing temperature.
A highlight of our vacation was our glacier viewing day. You’ll notice more rain and cooler temperatures the closer you get to the glacier. I was comfortable in jeans and a fleece jacket. There’s hot chocolate and cozy blankets available on Decks 9 and 10. Check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for a picture opportunity with the glacier in the background. You might even see Captains Mickey and Minnie taking in the amazing view.
The
dining attire for your sailing hasn’t yet been released. On my sailing, we had one formal and one semi-formal night. The rest of the days were cruise casual. Disney Cruise Line has some helpful
packing suggestions on their website. One thing I wasn’t prepared for was how late the sunset was. Definitely bring a pair of sunglasses and sunscreen.
I hope you fall in love with Alaska! Please feel free to stop by with any additional questions. We are happy to help!
SEAS the adventure!
