Hi Corey!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Everyone at the Walt Disney World Resort has been working so hard to
welcome Guests back to the Theme parks and
Disney Resort Hotels. They have been working around the clock to provide Guests with a safe yet exciting and memorable experience. There have been many changes to ensure that Guests are welcomed back to the magic while keeping everyone’s health and safety at the forefront of our focus. Face coverings are required at all times for all guests two and over except when dining or swimming. You and your family can remove your mask when stationary to enjoy a snack or beverage.
All Guests must follow the guidelines, even our youngest Guests. If you are planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort anytime soon, I recommend that you work with the kids to help them get used to wearing a face covering. As a mom with three kids, I understand how tricky it can be to help kids keep a face covering on. I’ve been thinking of some ideas to help your kids get used to a face covering. We can normalize face coverings by wearing them at home! This helps the kids see that this is part of daily life, and you may find that they want to model you! You can use a mask during playtime. Put a mask on your child’s stuffed animals or a favorite doll. Once your children start playing with their favorite toys while they are masked, it may make the mask seem less noticeable. Allow your children to “decorate” a disposable mask and encourage them to show off their art! I allowed my children to choose a couple of fabric masks in patterns that they like. I purchased from the Disney Store online, and they were so excited when they came in! You can also find some creative designers on sites like Etsy.
Stop back and see us real soon!
