Hiya, Chelsea, and welcome to planDisney!
How wonderful that you're counting down to a Walt Disney World vacation! Were you so excited to hear that
Test Track would once again be zipping Guests through World Discovery during your visit? I can't wait to see the newest iteration of this classic
EPCOT attraction and am more than a little jealous that you'll be able to experience it so soon after its debut!
While the
Disney Parks Blog recently announced that Test Track would be reopening on July 22, we are still awaiting several specific attraction details such as whether the attraction will feature a traditional standby queue or virtual queue, what type of Lightning Lane will be required to bypass the standby queue, and whether the Test Track Lounge will once again be available for General Motors employees.
I'm sure you were hoping for a definitive answer, Chelsea, but unfortunately, the information has not yet been shared. Because the Disney Parks Blog post instructed us to 'keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks', I suggest checking the blog periodically as the attraction's grand re-opening approaches. Since the attraction will have been operating for a few weeks by the time you've arrived in The Most Magical Place on Earth, the information will likely be available with plenty of time for you to plan! As a reminder, if the Test Track Lounge is open during your vacation, you'll need to present your official GM employee or retirement card to enter.
If you're unable to make a
pit stop in the Test Track Lounge, Hakuna Matata! There are plenty of other places to rest your feet in EPCOT.
Space 220 Lounge,
La Cava del Tequila, and
GEO-82 are my favorites! If you'd like any additional suggestions for
refueling during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, feel free to stop back by
planDisney. We're always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
