Hi Tracie!
So glad you grabbed a magic carpet and flew over to planDisney! Truly, it's a bit of a “whole new world” when it comes to preparing for a Disney cruise, but I hope you will soon say it is so worth it!
On
Embarkation Day, all Guests will take a COVID-19 PCR test at the terminal administered by Inspire Diagnostics. This test is before boarding and paid for by Disney Cruise Line. Guests will be notified by email when those test results are available. You would log in to the
Safe Passage website to see if your party is clear to embark. Cleared Guests could then make their way to the cruise terminal. But Guests receiving positive COVID-19 test results as well as Guests who have been identified as close contacts will not be permitted to board the ship.
Guests who are denied boarding will receive a Denied Boarding Voucher for the full amount of their sailing or a
full refund without Disney-imposed cancellation fees. I don’t see any exceptions to this if you made a “Guaranteed with Restrictions” reservation. It would be whatever amount you paid for your booking and it could be rolled over to another sailing date. You probably already know that cancellation fees from third party providers like airlines or travel insurance are not refundable. And Guests are solely responsible for making their travel arrangements to return home from the port.
I certainly hope you don’t need to know any of this because you will all test negative and be able to set sail. If you need more help, send your “Genies” at planDisney more questions. We won’t limit you to just three either! Wishing you a MAGICal voyage!
