Will teppan-edo be on the Disney dining plan in 2020?

    Hi Tina!

I just love having the Disney Dining Plan while I'm on vacation at Walt Disney World!  I find it really flexible and it's great to have our dining paid for in advance so all we have to worry about paying for are gratuities.

Teppan Edo in the Japan Pavilion in  Epcot is such a fun dining experience!  It's a family favorite since the kids love to watch the chefs cook our food right in front of us.  We have enjoyed this restaurant numerous times over the years as a participant of the Disney Dining Plan.  You'll notice that quite a few restaurants are missing from the 2020 Disney Dining Plans Participating Locations list at this time as these are mainly non-Disney owned and operated restaurants such as Teppan Edo.  Currently there are zero participating restaurants in Disney Springs!  Not to worry, this is very typical around this time of year.  While I can't say for certain Teppan Edo will be on the list (I promise, I don't know any more than you do), you'll see more Table-Service restaurants appear as this year goes on.

Since it appears you are right around your 180 dining reservation point, I suggest still making a reservation for Teppan Edo and possibly have a backup just in case.  Keep your eye on the 2020 list and hopefully you'll see it pop up soon.

Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
