We are tent camping at WDW Sep 4- 13th. We are a large family w/ 7 kids (12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 2, and 1). We have 4 day park hopper tickets w/ waterparks. Which days are best to go to each park? And, is it easier to use Disney transportation or our own car?

Hi Kelly! How exciting for your family to experience a Disney vacation that many are not even aware of. Tent camping is not only fun but definitely a unique choice while at Disney. My family now finds Fort Wilderness their home resort either enjoying a stay in the cabins or a motor coach and we love that entire location.

Since you have park hopper options I wouldn't worry too much about what days to visit parks. I usually suggest you get to the parks early that have the Extra Magic hours and then leave and go to another park for the rest of the day. If the extra hours are at night then simply head there for the evening. Guests who haven't added the park hopper option tend to go to the parks with the extra hours so those parks are often more crowded during the full day then others. But it is a great opportunity to use the hours when outside guests are not allowed so definitely use Extra Magic Hours.

You might want to check with the weather before deciding on a day at a water park. If you just want to make a plan ahead of time then try for a day during the week and not on the weekends when more locals tend to find their way to cool off.

There is an internal bus system in place at Fort Wilderness which is easy to use. Definitely use the bus to the marina and take the boat to the Magic Kingdom as you will be right at the front of the park when you get off the boat. IF you were to drive you would have a long commute via ferry or monorail to the park. We always use the buses to get to the other parks. The waits never seem too long and it is just easier then parking a car and dealing with that. I know it is more of a personal preference but we never seem to get in close parking so we find the buses easier for us.
