Ten years ago my family visited Walt Disney World during the month of December. We are considering attending again this year. Does Epcot still have Santas/ christmas celebrations events for each of the respective countries?

Hi Maureen. Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Your question makes me so happy. A vacation at Walt Disney World Resort anytime during the year is wonderful but the holidays at Walt Disney World Resort are truly magical! I say change your "considering" to a huge "we are going," and enjoy every magical moment!

Based on our most recent holiday vacation at Walt Disney World Resort, Epcot International Festival of the Holidays will feel very similar to what you experienced 10 years ago...but with some added magic. Each of the 11 World Showcase nations still share their holiday traditions. Candlelight Processional is still awe-inspiring and fireworks still light up the night sky with the holiday presentation of Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.

I'm trying to think back 10 years ago but I believe some of the enhancements include Holiday Kitchens and most recently we saw musical performances by the fountain in Future World. One of the mini concerts we saw was a gospel choir and they were amazing. Speaking of amazing...you can't forget about the food. Epcot is known for fabulous dishes and you will not be disappointed during the holidays. The Holiday Kitchens also help you get immersed into the 11 World Showcase nations by offering amazing seasonal region specific menu items in special kiosks throughout the World Showcase.

We enjoyed it all. We would stop at a kiosk and grab a quick snack and then move over to the featured storyteller to learn about each country's holiday traditions. It was not only magical but my kiddos learned a lot too.

I hope this helps you in making your decision!
