Hi Isabella,
Thanks for visiting planDisney!
The SoCal ticket is a great way for us local residents to get a taste of Disney magic. I rediscover my love for Disneyland by getting a SoCal ticket, so I know first hand how to help answer your question.
In order to activate the SoCal 3-day ticket, a Cast Member at the turnstile will need to verify your address with a valid government-issued photo ID when you arrive at the park. Unfortunately, your passport, utility bill, or even temporary IDs wouldn’t provide enough information to qualify. The SoCal 3-day ticket is currently offered through May 15, 2025, so there may still be time to get your ID in the mail. If you have already purchased the SoCal tickets and don’t receive your ID in time to use the tickets, I recommend reaching out to
Guest Services to see if the price of your ticket can be applied toward the purchase of another ticket type.
Isabella, I also wanted to share that Disneyland Resort is currently offering
special tickets for the 70th Anniversary. These are 3-day or 4-day tickets that allow you to visit from May 16 through August 14, 2025 (subject to park reservation availability). You can also upgrade these tickets to include a Park Hopper, so you can move between both parks (starting at 11 a.m.). This promotion is not dependent on where you live, so you won’t have to worry about showing proof of residency. This might be the perfect alternative to dive into the Disneyland magic all summer long. Check out the Disney Parks Blog for the
70th Anniversary Guide and the
2025 Event Calendar. You may find that one day is just not enough time to enjoy all the magic!
I hope this was helpful, Isabella. I hope you can join us in the parks real soon! If you have any other questions or need help planning, feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow panelists. We’d be happy to share our thoughts.
See you in the park!
