Is there a temp at which the water parks close or don't open? I going to Disney world at the end of January and was just wondering if we where gong to be able to visit the water parks Thanks

    Hello, Travis,

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park have become favorites of our sons, especially the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon. They could spend hours upon hours there!  With your escaping the cold Midwest in January, I'm hopeful it works out for you to get a day poolside. However, I did want to let you know that Disney's Blizzard Beach is currently closed for enhancements, so it won't be available at the end of January. The good news is that Typhoon Lagoon is scheduled to be open in January.

While the water in the parks is heated, there are times were it does become too cold; and the water parks are closed. I have not read of a specific temperature point that closes the water parks, but I do know that it has been closed a handful of days this year already. During those days, the highs were in the 60s while the lows in the 40s. I think if you look over the weather forecast and find anything in that range, it may be an indication of a possible closure. If you have any questions once you are at Walt Disney World about a possible closure, stop by with your question at any of the theme parks' Guest Relations or front desks of any Disney resorts.

Sending you lots of warm-weather thoughts!
