What can you tell me about the Wilderness Explorer program at Animal Kingdom? I've read online that it's up and running but can't find out any more information about it. Thank you.

    Hi Kim,

The new Wilderness Explorer program at Animal Kingdom looks like it will be a new fun interactive experience for guests! I'm looking forward to trying this out with my kids on our next Animal Kingdom visit. According to the Disney Parks Blog, guest can "experience the entire park using their field guides, completing challenges and earning badges as they go. With more than 30 badges available, Wilderness Explorers is fun for the whole family and helps guests experience Disney’s Animal Kingdom and its themes in a new and exciting way." Click the link above to read the whole article. The program is focused on animals, plants and other natural things. Everything that I have read and researched on it makes it sound like a scavenger hunt of sorts, with clues and challenges throughout the park.

Hope this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation,
