Lana, this is a great question! Currently, the only virtual queue available on the
My Disney Experience app is for meeting the popular man of the season, Santa Claus, at Disney Springs. However, with exciting new projects set to open in the future, including the
Tropical Americas inspired by Encanto, an Indiana Jones adventure,
Monsters, Inc. Land, and
Villains Land, it's possible that we will see the virtual queue used again.
Here's how it works: at a certain time, open your My Disney Experience app, scroll down, and tap "Virtual Queue." After that, select "Join." If you successfully confirm a "boarding group," you will receive a group number that will be called at a later time. At that time, you would be notified that it is your turn to experience the attraction. I personally enjoy the virtual queues for new rides because they allow me to hold my place in line through the app while I continue to enjoy the rest of the park.
