Can you tell me when the value, mid, and peak seasons are in regard to booking our hotel? We are planning to travel in Oct, but our dates are flexible if it means we could save on the hotel. Thanks!

    Hi Stacey!
Thanks for your question. The answer seems to get more complex with each passing year as more and more occasions eat into what used to be a fairly lengthy value season. I will try to be as succinct as possible with rates. For 2010, the Value Season is Jan. 3-6, Jan. 10-14, Jan. 18-Feb. 11, July 18-Sept. 30, and Nov. 18-Dec. 16. Regular Season is April 11-July 1, July 5-17, Oct. 1-7, and Oct. 11-Nov. 23. Peak Season is Feb. 15-March 27. Holiday Season dates are Jan. 1-2, Jan. 7-9 (Disney Marathon), Jan. 15-17 (MLK Birthday), Feb. 12-14 (Pres. Day), March 28-April 10 (Easter), July 2-4, Oct. 8-10 (Columbus Day), Nov. 24-27 (Thanksgiving) and Dec. 17-Jan.1. A new wrinkle in the hotel rates is that now every weekend day (regardless of which season) is 20-25 dollars more per night during your stay. Based on these dates, however, going after October 11 puts you right in the midst of Value Season, so that is a good thing. I wish you a Magical vacation!!
