Hi there Lisa!
Pin Trading can be done pretty much anywhere at Walt Disney World where you see Cast Members - so ... EVERYWHERE! Just look for Cast Members wearing lanyards or pin 'flaps' on their belt. Your children can approach and ask to see their pins. The kids can then request a pin they'd like - in exchange for a pin from their own lanyard of their own choosing. This way, the kids continue to collect pins they're after and don't have to give a favorite unwillingly!
As for Vinylmation trading, it's done at most of the larger shops around the parks, Downtown Disney and the resorts. Resorts' main shops will have Vinylmation trading set-ups at one of their cash counters (look for a black, numbered box behind or on the counter). If you don't see one, simply ask a Cast Member if they have a Vinylmation trading box. A few great spots for trading include Mouse Gear at Epcot, D Street at Downtown Disney West Side - and both pin trading and Vinylmation trading at Disney's Pin Traders in Downtown Disney Marketplace.
There are some great, new adventures around the parks that engage the whole family in an interactive adventure. Be sure to check out
A Pirate's Adventure: Treasures of the Seven Seas (in particular - at night time for this one!) and
Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom (both at Magic Kingdom) as well as
Disney Phineas and Ferb: Agent P's World Showcase Adventure at Epcot.
If you have additional questions, please feel free to write me back Lisa! I'd love to hear from you again soon!
Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
Kirsten
