Hiya Claire!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for your question which I am delighted to answer! As a mom to two little ones, I have traveled to Walt Disney World Resort many times from my pregnancy era to the school-aged drama era.
I have pushed quite a few strollers and have recently been
renting the strollers available in the Parks. The prices for the strollers are as follows:
- A single stroller can be rented for $15 a day or you can pay $13 per day if you pay ahead for a multi-day rental ticket.
- Double strollers can be rented for $31 a day or $27 per day for a multi-day rental ticket. (Prices are subject to change.)
I like to rent the multi-day stroller as I get a ticket that I keep for the entirety of my trip and show at each park every day to redeem for a stroller. I don't have to wait in line to pay but head right to the strollers to show my receipt and be provided with a stroller. Make sure to keep that receipt in a safe place! The strollers work well enough for older (non-infant) kids as they are molded plastic with a sun shield. I bring from home stroller hooks that I velcro to the handles as I like to hang all my bags on them. Be aware that if I didn't have these hooks, the only place to put a backpack would be right on the seat so your little one will have to make space or hold it on their lap. There is no under-stroller storage space. Even when I bring my hooks from home I find that the bags tip the stroller over when the child gets out of the stroller. At that point, I leave the bags on the seat or wear them. Be careful to not leave behind anything valuable in a stroller that you are parking outside of an attraction as anything can happen.
The
Hours & Events Calendar is where you go to look up Park Hours. Each Park has different opening and closing times depending on the day which can change at any time. Make sure you look at the times the night before so you know when to set your alarm! If you are staying at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel most rooms come with TVs that show Park Information. I love to set my TV to that channel and let the music play while getting ready.
If you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel you can access the Park 30 minutes before everyone else!
Early Theme Park Entry is a great way to enjoy one or two attractions with minimal wait. I highly recommend Early Entry to be experienced at least once during your trip as it is one of the best feelings to enjoy the Parks in the morning before the huge crowd of people starts showing up. I like to be at the Park entrance at least 30 minutes
before Early Entry so that I am ahead of the Resort Guest crowd.
As for your last question, the best day to visit Walt Disney World Resort is EVERY DAY and ANY DAY. When selecting which Park to visit each day, know that everyone has a different strategy. I always like Magic Kingdom Park to be my first visited Park and I like to avoid EPCOT on the weekends. After that, I just base my days on what dining reservations I can get and what the Park Hours look like. That's it. Since theme park reservations are no longer needed for
date-based tickets you can make your Park decision that morning!
I hope this helps in your planning!
