Mindy! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for trusting us with your great question. Your very special visit to the Disneyland Resort is coming up so soon - I bet you're so excited and counting down the days!
For Guests with dietary needs, heading to a theme park can understandably cause a bit of worry! Hopefully I can help take some stress of your plate, because you've got the
70th to celebrate!
While there are no exclusively kosher restaurants in the
Downtown Disney District, kosher meals can be accommodated at select table-service and quick-service restaurants throughout Disneyland Resort, like
Smokejumpers Grill and
Red Rose Taverne.
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop is also a must stop for its kosher-certified ice creams! (Subject to availability.)
My planDisney pal, Jason, provided
an incredible list of kosher items at Disneyland including, my favorite,
Mickey's Ice Cream Bar! You should also be able to find packaged ice cream, cookies, small bags of hard pretzels, candy bars, plantain chips, potato chips, and fruit crisps (dried fruit chips) around the parks. The quintessential
DOLE Whips are not prepackaged but their ingredients are also kosher, which is great news!
For more information on kosher meals, including more recommended dining locations,
visit the Disneyland website!
If you'd like, Mindy, you
may also bring outside food and snacks into the parks for yourself, provided they are not in glass containers or require heating. This is a helpful option for when you might get a rumbly in your tumbly and need a quick snack. Make sure to let a Security Cast Member know of any food items when you enter the park, to make the process a bit smoother.
Mindy, I truly hope you have the most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. If any other questions come up in your planning, please don't hesitate to
stop by again. Happy to help!
Your pal,
McCayla
