Hello, could you tell me which section of POR is reserved for the dog section? We are checking in on18 October 2018 for 11 nights in a royal room. I don't have an issue with pets being there but would prefer to be in different section. Thank you Roger

    Welcome BACK, Roger!

We're so happy that you're coming back home to visit Walt Disney World Resort so soon. October is a great time to be hEAR. You can party from day to night by visiting the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and then Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Disney announced in the fall of 2017 that certain sections of four Disney Resort Hotels would start to accommodate non-service dogs. To put the numbers in perspective, there are only 250 dog-friendly rooms from the over 28,000 guest rooms across Disney's 26 Resort Hotels. Currently the areas of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside that allow Mickey's Best Friend are the southern most rooms in building 15, the courtyard view rooms of building 24, the northern most rooms in building 80, and the southern most rooms in building 95. Here's a map of Riverside to locate which building is which. In your case it would be best to request a room in Oak Manor, also known as building 90.

Have you stayed at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside before? Be sure to check out some of the awesome resort activities, like a movie under the stars or a campfire. And don't forget that you'll have pool hopping privileges over to French Quarter, too!

We'll See You Real Soon, Roger!
