Dining Plans webpage I noticed under the 'How to Get a Dining Plan' heading it directs Guests to either purchase a vacation package or make changes to an existing reservation. It sounds like you were hoping to do the latter upon arrival but were unable to do so, so I reached out to a helpful Cast Member for guidance on your presumed situation. She pointed me to the
2024 Package Terms and Conditions for specific guidelines on modifying vacation packages where under the 'Booking Procedures' and 'Change Fees and Changes to Reservations Made Prior to Guest Arrival' you'll find the specific guidelines regarding booking and payment deadlines for Walt Disney World Resort vacation packages.
Although you are unable to add a dining plan to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package at this time, it doesn't mean you won't be able to enjoy all of the
delicious dining Walt Disney World has to offer! In fact, my husband and I prefer traveling without a dining plan as it allows us more flexibility in our schedule and to better enjoy the dining options in a way that best fits our snacking and entree-sharing preferences.
