Can you tell me about Port Orleans Riverside? We are coming in a couple months and got reservations at this resort but I know nothing about the resort?

    Hi Amy!

Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite Disney Moderate Resort.  In fact, it also won an informal poll of the panelists on the Walt Disney World Moms Panel a couple of years ago.  It is a great place to stay.

My favorite section in Port Orleans Riverside is the Alligator Bayou section; I would definitely look into that, especially if you like a more rustic feel.  The resort has a great pool area with a relatively long water slide.  There is also a Table Service restaurant that serves dinner and a large food court.  You can also rent boats and take them out on the nearby Sassagoula River.

Port Orleans Riverside is a sister resort of Port Orleans French Quarter.  Guests staying at one resort can use all of the services and amenities of both resorts, including the pools.  You can ride a boat between the two resorts or walk, with the average walk being about 10 minutes.

Port Orleans Riverside also has boat service to Downtown Disney.  It is a very fun and relaxing way to get to Downtown Disney, especially at night.  I would definitely take advantage of it sometime during your stay.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
