Can you tell me how people are picked to ride in the parades at the Parks?

Yes and no. The answer to your question is that there is no definitive answer.

Being selected to ride in a parade is a huge honor, and one that would thrill most WDW resort guests. Because of that, there is no way to sign up, it's all a matter of being in the right place at the right time, and a little bit of pixie dust falling on you. Cast members invite guests to be in the parades, but I have no set criteria or location from which this is done.

Of course, a couple of other factors can come into play. In the Jammin' Jungle Parade at Animal Kingdom, for example, there are lots of guests in the parade. You might notice that the vehicles these guests ride in are designed to fit a certain number of people. Guests may be selected for these positions based on the number of visitors in their party.

All I can advise is that you keep your fingers crossed, don't get your hopes up too high, and have a fantastic vacation either way.

    Good luck!
