Ahoy, Tina!
Welcome aboard planDisney!
Alaska is absolutely breathtaking, and seeing glaciers, wildlife, and charming ports from the deck of a Disney ship is a memory you’ll treasure forever. Let’s make sure your travel documents are shipshape so you can spend your energy daydreaming about spotting whales and eating soft-serve on deck instead of worrying about paperwork!
For Canadian citizens, you’ll currently
need a valid Canadian passport or a valid Trusted Traveler card to sail. If you happen to be a Canadian permanent resident, you’ll also need to carry your Permanent Resident Card when traveling outside Canada. One thing I’ve learned over the years is that requirements can sometimes shift like Zootopia’s ever-busy traffic patterns, so I always recommend double-checking with your local customs agency directly before your adventure. That way you’ll be ready for smooth sailing at embarkation.
For the youngest sailors in your crew, the rules are a bit different. Guests 15 years old or younger may sail with either a valid Canadian passport or an original Canadian birth certificate (keep in mind that copies won’t be accepted). It’s a good idea to tuck those documents safely away in your
carry-on bag for embarkation day—think of it like Marlin holding onto Nemo’s lucky fin: essential, priceless, and never to be left behind!
I hope this helps
set your compass in the right direction as you prepare for your Alaskan voyage. With the right documents in hand, you can focus on the real adventure: marveling at glaciers, savoring hot cocoa on deck, and letting Disney sprinkle a little pixie dust on every moment of your journey.
Sea ya real soon with boo-tiful nights and frightfully fun days,
Dustin
