MagicBand+ adds an extra layer of convenience to your
Walt Disney World vacation. It acts as your key to the parks and your room and a way to enjoy the fun during your adventures. It’s an excellent tool to help make your trip smoother and more enjoyable!
When it comes to park tickets and special event tickets, MagicBands and MagicBand+ are linked to individual Guests through their My Disney Experience account. Once a MagicBand+ is connected to a specific Guest, it can’t be transferred to someone else, so pair carefully! Similarly, when you purchased your tickets, you likely assigned each one to individual members of your travel party. Because of this, your Theme Park Tickets and Special Event tickets are likely already linked to your MagicBand+.
To double-check, log in to your
My Disney Experience account on the Walt Disney World website. Head over to the “My Plans” section, then scroll down to “My Plans, Reservations and Tickets,” and click on “Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker” to view all the tickets linked to your account. This is a great way to confirm that everything is ready for your visit. If the tickets haven’t been linked yet, Hakuna Matata, scroll back up towards the top where you see the five blue circles, hover over “Park Tickets,” and select “Link Tickets.”
To ensure your MagicBand+ is linked, hover over the MyDisneyExperience and select “My MagicBands and Cards.” At the top, you will see your upcoming stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel and the ability to purchase MagicBands for your upcoming trip. Since you’ve already done this, scroll down to the “Manage MagicBands or Cards” section, where you will see the Guests linked to your account via the Family & Friends List, all the bands associated with each Guest, and the ability to link another MagicBand. As I stated above, as long as you have a ticket linked to a Guest and a MagiBand linked to the same Guest, the Theme Park Tickets and Special Events tickets will be paired without any additional work on your end!
Another way to double-check your connectivity and linkability is through the
My Disney Experience app. Open the app, tap the ☰ icon in the lower-right corner, and select “My Tickets and Passes” to view the tickets associated with your account. To check your MagicBands, tap “MagicBands and Cards” from the same menu to confirm that your band is linked to your profile.
When in doubt, the friendly Cast Members at the front desk of your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel or a
Guest Relations location just outside the parks will be happy to assist you. They can double-check everything to ensure your tickets and MagicBand+ are perfectly synced.
