I've had my MagicBand 2 (original MagicBand) since 2018, and it still works perfectly without a hitch! That's because there's no battery in the band, so your MagicBand will keep working just fine! Be sure to double check that your MagicBand is still linked by tapping the Menu (☰) in the bottom right corner. Under Account, select MagicBands & Cards, then tap your name to view a list of your linked MagicBands. If your MagicBand isn’t listed, tap Link, select Type ID, and enter the ID number found on the back of your MagicBand.
On our last visit, I upgraded to the
MagicBand+, and it was a game changer! MagicBand+ brings an extra sprinkle of magic to your Walt Disney World vacation. With customizable light up themes, haptic vibrations, and more, it adds a whole new layer of interactivity to your park experience. My kids absolutely loved using their MagicBand+ to interact with the
Disney Fab 50 Character Collection throughout the parks, it made the experience even more magical for them!
Susan, I'd like you to know there are other options in addition to the MagicBands.
Disney MagicMobile Service is a great alternative. This service is a feature of the My Disney Experience app. This app feature offers quick and easy access to the theme parks and Disney Resort hotel amenities through an eligible iPhone, Apple Watch or Android phone. You will be able to use Disney MagicMobile Service to enter the theme parks (with valid admission), link Disney PhotoPass images to your Disney account, check in at virtual queue and Lightning Lane entrances.
