Ahoy, Simon!
Welcome back to planDisney! It's almost time for your
DREAM-y
Mediterranean cruise, and I bet you can't wait to set sail with Mickey and friends very soon! I've just recently returned from my fourth sailing on the
Disney Dream. It is a gorgeous ship full of entertainment, dining, and fun that has filled our hearts with magical memories over the years!
Simon, one of the highlights of any Disney Cruise Line vacation is the Broadway-style entertainment that you can enjoy throughout your voyage in the
Walt Disney Theater. While entertainment schedules are always subject to change, I spoke with a Disney Cruise Line Cast Member who confirmed that during the Dream's summer tour of Europe, Guests should still be able to experience the three shows currently running on the ship -
Disney's Believe,
The Golden Mickeys, and
Beauty and the Beast.
While all of these are phenomenal, I have to share that my personal favorite is Disney's Believe. If you haven't had a chance to see this show before, you'll definitely want to have a tissue handy for the heartwarming finale!
The exact show schedule can be found in your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you board. Most shows offer two performances each night, so you can attend the one that is opposite your scheduled dinner service. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised to find a matinee performance of one of the shows during our day at sea in January. Along with these stage shows,
Pirate Night is set to return to the Mediterranean again this year! This is a highlight of any Disney Cruise with swashbuckling character greetings and amazing entertainment.
The Cast Member I spoke with said that it was a bit too early to identify what movies might be showing in May, but I can share from my own experience that you can expect recent releases and even some movies that are still showing in theaters. Currently, Guests sailing on the Disney Dream can catch movies such as Elio, Zootopia 2, Avatar: Fire and Ash, and Tron: Ares - just to name a few! While these movies can be seen in the
Buena Vista Theater, don't forget that you can catch additional movies showing outside on the pool deck. Movie schedules will also be available in your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App during your sailing.
I hope this information has been helpful, Simon, and that you enjoy a magical time at sea this spring! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!
SEA ya real soon!
