I see where you tell about Magic Kingdoms decorations being up by Nov. 8, when do the resorts get their decorations up?

Seasons Greetings, Donna! Welcome back to planDisney!

With the ghouls and goblins headed back to their regular haunts until next Halloween, it's time for spirits of a different kind to take over the Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, did you know that the Magic Kingdom Park undergoes a transformation from Halloween to Christmas literally overnight? The Disney Parks video team captured the process a few years ago, and it's quite a sight to see. Talk about holiday magic!

Now that the theme parks are ready for the holidays, the Disney Resorts Collection hotels aren't far behind! Each individual Resort hotel may be decorated on slightly differing schedules, but one big clue that will help tell the story is the appearance of the larger-than-life gingerbread creations in select Resort hotels. The Disney Parks Blog gives us the latest there with its Foodie Guide to the Holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort. Down at the bottom of the page, they list the dates that each gingerbread extravaganza will be adding to the Christmas cheer. This year's gingerbread creations include two located at Resort hotels and one at EPCOT. Here's a rundown:

     - Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa - November 10-January 1
     - Disney’s Beach Club Resort - November 1-January 2
     - EPCOT – The American Adventure Rotunda - November 26-December 30

Be sure to peruse the whole Disney Parks Blog post, Donna! It's a treasure trove of info gift-wrapped with the dates that holiday treats will be available in each Resort hotel. That's a pretty good indicator of when the halls might be decked in all corners of the Walt Disney World Resort!

Well, this definitely put me in the holiday spirit! I think I need to make a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth to get a little bit of that pixie-dusted Christmas magic myself. Thank you so much for stopping by to see us, and I wish you and your family a truly jolly holiday!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
