Can you tell me about the Jedi Training Academy? Where you sign up to a part of? I am assuming this should be done as soon as park opens, is this correct or can you get a time later in the day? Thanks!!

    Hi, Kristen!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your great questions. The Jedi Training Academy is a 20-minute interactive show in Disney's Hollywood Studios. The Jedi Master and his assistants work with Jedis-to-be in a high-energy light saber training course!

Children between the ages of 4 and 12 are invited to sign up for this experience at the ABC Sound Studio. The Jedi Training Academy selects only 12 participants per show and this experience is very popular, so be sure to arrive early for the best chance at a spot. Sign-ups begin when the park turnstiles open, including Extra Magic Hour mornings. It’s best to be ready to enter the theme park at least 15 minutes prior to the official park opening time and go straight to the sign-up queue. Kids selected to participate are usually required to arrive 30 minutes prior to show time at the ABC Sound Studio for special instructions.

I hope this helps, Kristen, and that your junior Jedi knight gets a chance to be a part of this exciting show! Please feel free to write back with any other questions you may have as you continue to plan.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
