    Can you tell me if they hard and fast on the min age limit of 10 yrs to participate in the 5k? Can ship guest srv make exceptions at their discretion? My 7yo daughter wants to run with me. Could she run even if she can't register due to being to young

    Hi Gregory,

    Thanks for writing.  How exciting that you have a budding runner in your clan!  I have crossed several runDisney finish lines, including the marathon, and I have to say that the Castaway Cay 5K is still one of my favorites!  The minimum age for registering for the Castaway Cay 5K is ten years old.  On a recent cruise, I stopped by the Port Adventures desk because my niece was traveling with my boys and me.  She was nine at the time.  The Cast Members suggested that she could run/walk with us, but would not have an official bib.  Upon completing the race, she received a medal, however, I was fully prepared to give her mine in the even this wasn't possible.  This was a little over a year ago, so I suggest that you stop by the Port Adventures Desk when you board to clarify up-to-date practices.  As you can imagine, it is often quite warm on the island, so drink plenty of water and take your time.  The scenery is beautiful and you'll want to ensure you enjoy it!
