Gobble, gobble, Brian, and welcome to planDisney! Enjoying a holiday buffet with Goofy and his pals is an excellent way to spend Thanksgiving Day.
Goofy's Kitchen is fun – my family had dinner there a few months ago, and my kids still talk about it. They especially liked swinging their napkins with the other Guests as Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and others paraded through the restaurant.
I'm right there with you in looking forward to the magic of the holiday season and all the great food that comes with it. A buffet lined with all the fixings sounds delightful! We'll have to wait a while for details, though. No announcements have been made about the 2025 holiday menu offerings for
Disneyland Resort Hotel restaurants. However, in previous years on Thanksgiving Day at Goofy's Kitchen, special items such as carved turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes with marshmallows, pies, and more were added alongside the typical buffet offerings.
In 2024, holiday-themed meals and decor extended beyond Thanksgiving Day, with Goofy's Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays and Mickey's Mickey's Pajama Party at Storytellers Cafe. Reservations for these
two options spanned weeks, providing many opportunities for Guests to enjoy festive food and fun character interactions.
Remember, holidays are a popular time to dine at the Disneyland Resort, so start trying to book a reservation as early as 60 days out through the
Disneyland mobile app or on the
Disneyland website. If you don't see one available, keep checking back! A friendly Cast Member told me that new dining opportunities may be released anytime between 60 days and 1 day out. In past years, Thanksgiving Day reservations became available the first week of October.
You'll be visiting the Disneyland Resort
during my favorite time of year. There will be beautiful decorations throughout the Resort, as well as special entertainment and character greetings, themed variations of classic attractions, new foods, festive merchandise, and more.
Downtown Disney is a great place to get a jump start on holiday shopping, too.
Brian, I wish I could consult Madame Leota for advance details on holiday dining. But until those details materialize, I hope this information is helpful to you. I'll wish on a star that your Thanksgiving visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is as full of magic as it is delicious food.
