Could you tell me when they take the Gingerbread House down in The Grand Floridian and else where in the WDW Resorts? Coming there on the 5th of January and wanted to know if they will still be up! Thanks!

Hello, Judy!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

Walt Disney World is such a MAGICAL place during the holidays.  I can certainly understand why you want to view the decorations prior to their removal.  I have many photos of the resorts all decked out in their holiday best and I can sit and look at them for hours.

Unfortunately, once New Year's Day comes to an end, the decorations begin coming down.  There is no time table, but the resorts are usually the first to be transformed back into their original settings.  With the gingerbread house being food related, you can expect this to be one of the first to go.  The parks will tend to have small bits and pieces of the holiday season still being displayed, but not too much.  When you check-in, ask your Cast Member about any holiday displays that may still be up at any of the WDW Resorts.  This will save you some time from having to hop around from resort to resort.  Trust me, they will be happy to help out.

~Have a MAGICAL day and "SEE YOU REAL SOON!"~
