Can you tell me more about this food & wine festival. How large is it and is the variety of foods worth attending? I've never been to WDW at this time and am thinking we might like this event. 2 adults.

    Hi Kris,

The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival should definitely top your itinerary list. I can provide you the official Food & Wine page, but would also recommend checking out the independent site, Disney Food blog: From demonstrations and celebrity chefs to over 30 marketplaces and live entertainment, the Festival is incredibly popular with both local guests and traveling guests, alike.

Try to avoid weekends if you can, as these days will see the heaviest crowds. The event will span the perimeter of the World Showcase lagoon, offering gorgeous backdrops while you leisurely peruse the Marketplace booths.

In addition to feasting your eyes on the food photos and menus from the, I'd also suggest subscribing to the Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates. Booking a spot in one of the special events, seminars or demonstrations will typically take place in late July or August, so it's best to familiarize yourself with the schedule as soon as it's available.

Although I could write a novel about my love of food and the Food & Wine Festival, I am running out of room! Please let me know what elements of the Festival have peaked your interest, Kris, and I'd be happy to offer my experiences.

    Happy planning.
