Ahoy, Susan! Welcome back to planDisney and thanks for bringing us your questions about setting sail aboard the Disney Dream this summer.
There are two primary locations to view films on the Disney Dream: Funnel Vision and the Buena Vista Theater. You will be able to watch a variety of Disney classics while you soak up the sun by the pool on Deck 11, Midship, and look up at the giant screen lovingly referred to as Funnel Vision due to its placement on the ship’s forward funnel. If you are looking for a more traditional movie theater experience, then you will want to check out the Buena Vista Theater with dual-level stadium seating on Decks 4 and 5, Midship. Be sure to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App on embarkation day for a full list of screenings and show times offered at both locations once you step onboard.
While I can tell you that the Buena Vista Theater will be playing the latest first-run features from Disney, the official list is not yet available for August sailings. However, the following films are currently being shown aboard the Disney Dream:
- Lilo & Stitch (2025)
- The Fantastic Four: First Steps
- Freakier Friday
- Tron: Ares
- Zootopia 2
- Avatar: Fire and Ash
- Hoppers
While I expect that some of those will still be available during your sailing, I suspect that additional films with upcoming releases between now and then will also be added to that list. Since there are several summer blockbuster movies hitting the big screen from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel throughout the months of May, June, and July, I suggest checking closer to your sail date for the exact list. Remember that the Navigator App will also provide you with the most up-to-date information once you can connect to the ship’s wi-fi at the port.
I have spent more time aboard the Disney Dream than any other member of the fleet and I know you will have a fantastic sailing this August. If you have any other questions between now and then, please feel free to reach back out to planDisney. Happy sailing!
