Can you tell me the fastest way to get from Port Orleans Riverside to horseback riding at Fort Wilderness in the morning? The boat to Downtown and then bus to Fort Wilderness or bus to MK and then boat to Fort Wilderness? Appreciate the advice!

    Hi Erica,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside is one of my family's favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotels! My kids love spending time at Ol’ Man Island Pool and Riverside Mill Food Court is at the top of my list as one of the best Quick Service Dining Restaurants. We also enjoy renting a Surrey Bike and cruising around the beautiful property surrounding the Resort.

If you would like to use the Complimentary Resort Transportation that is available at the Walt Disney World Resort, then I would recommend taking a ferryboat to Downtown Disney Area from Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside. I would then take a bus from there to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. That said, the fastest way to get there is by taxi. The distance between the two Resorts is only 1.7 miles, so it's a quick trip if you don't mind spending money for a short taxi ride.

I hope this information helps. Please let us know if we can help you with any additional vacation planning questions!

    Happy Trails,
    Susan
