Can you tell me how the exchange rate would work on a Disney Gift Card purchased in Canada. The packaging says they are redeemable at the theme parks.

Hi, Marla! Thank you so much for your great question! We love seeing Canadians (like myself) here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I have noticed that where I live, more and more stores are selling Disney Gift Cards! This is great because I love purchasing them to use during my magical Walt Disney World Resort vacations! When you purchase a Disney Gift Card in Canada, you will use CDN funds to add to it. When you redeem it at Walt Disney World Resort, you will be spending USD at the previous day’s exchange closing rate. One of the great benefits is that you won’t be charged a conversion fee like you would receive from most credit card companies!

Your Canadian Disney Gift Card will be redeemable anywhere that accepts Disney Gift Cards which includes your Disney Resort hotel, Disney Springs and Disney Water Parks.

I hope this answers your question and please come and see us again soon!
