Can you tell me exactly when in November the Christmas decorations/Christmas stuff comes out? We are planning our trip for late Oct 2012/early Nov and I'd love for the weather to be low 80's but would be so happy if the Xmas decor was out!

    Hi Laura:

Although subject to change every year, Disney typically starts putting up Christmas decorations around and during the second week of November, sometimes even earlier. But in my experience, I normally start to see decorations during the second week in November, although I've seen reports here and there of some decorations going up during the first week in November. By Thanksgiving, expect to see the parks fully decorated for the Holidays. In true Disney fashion, the decorations are set up at night, as if by magic. Starting in November, you may start to notice more and more Christmas and Holiday decorations where you did not see them the day before.

This year, I understand that most of the Resorts will begin to put up their Holiday decorations starting mid-November, with the breathtaking life-sized gingerbread house (containing 700 pounds of chocolate) at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa set to start construction a bit earlier, around November 7th and set to be open for business a week later.  Of course, as is normal, those dates are subject to change.

I'm not sure if you will see the Parks and Resorts decorated for the Holidays during your visit, but enjoy your vacation and return for the Holidays one year if you are able to do so.
