Hi there Carla!
Welcome back to
planDisney. It's great to have you back with another excellent question about your upcoming vacation. Even though Elsa is still making things chilly for us up north, the weather is already Olaf-approved in Orlando! Let's talk about protecting you and your family from the Florida sun during your spring getaway.
Shopping for sunscreen on vacation is a topic I'm super knowledgeable about. My son has sensitive skin and is allergic to several common sunscreen ingredients, so I can't always rely on finding our preferred brands when traveling. We pack and label lotions that are safe for him, but occasionally, we run out or need to supplement what we brought. While all merchandise and products are subject to change, during recent stays, I noticed all resort hotel and theme park shops stock Coppertone brand sunscreen in lotion and spray form, with SPF ranging from 30 to 50. Coppertone is not a "safe brand" for my son, so if we run out of sunscreen in
Walt Disney World, I order from Amazon and have it delivered to my resort.
I hope this information is helpful, Carla. You'll find the most extensive selection of sunscreen products at the
Walt Disney World Water Parks. My family and I enjoyed a day at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park a few weeks ago, and we noticed an entire wall of sun protection (all Coppertone brand) while browsing for souvenirs in
Singapore Sal's. Thanks again for sending us your question; we'll see ya real soon!
Wishing you sun and fun,
Betsy
