Can you tell me during Christmas time when the lights come down? And when is the least expensive time to visit between last week of Nov to Mid Dec or early Jan thru mid Feb (before spring break - Disney All-Star Music and Holiday Inn (Disney Springs)?

Hi Vickie! I'm glad you came to planDisney with your questions about a visit to the most magical place on earth!

Typically the Christmas cheer removal occurs about January 3rd. This year, however, my family arrived on January 5th and much to our delight, found the lobby of Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort still festooned for Christmas. The next morning we walked through the Magic Kingdom gates to discover Main Street completely decked out with Mickey wreaths on lampposts and the beautiful Christmas tree towering above the square. As late as Jan 7th we saw poinsettias and poodles in Disney's Hollywood Studios. This might be a covid one off, so I would plan on the seasonal takedown to happen in the early days of January.

To discover the best room rates at Disney's All-Star Music Resort, head to Disney's Value Resorts. Here you can input different dates to discover the best bargain. I've found January and February typically offer the best rack room rates if you avoid three day holiday weekends, and Valentine's Day, Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. Many schools take a full week break following Presidents' Day, so carefully check rates around this holiday. Do check the Special Offers, Deals, and Discounts to see if a resort discount is available before you book.

Wishing you a wonderful adventure at Walt Disney World!
