    can you tell me if any of the disney hotels participate in locks of love.my 5yr old has very long hair and is ready for her !st real hair cut and she is very excited to give her beautiful blond locks to another little girl .this would be a nice end to trip

    Hi Debbie!

    What a proud Mama you must be!  It warms my heart thinking of your daughter wanting to donate her hair to help out other children.  While none of the salons at Walt Disney World directly participate in the Locks of Love program, you can certainly donate it on your own.  Bring a zip lock plastic bag with you and let the stylist know you want to keep the hair.  Visit the Locks of Love website (http://www.locksoflove.org/donate.html) for details on how to prepare her hair before it is cut and how to mail it in.  If you bring a padded envelope with you, you can mail it right from Disney!

    My favorite place to get a haircut, especially a FIRST haircut is the Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom.  They have 1st haircut package that includes the cut, Mickey ears that are embroidered to say "1st Haircut" on the back and a certificate with your child's name on it.  You can make advance reservations for the Harmony Barber Shop by calling (407) WDW-DINE.
