I think as long as your costume isn't offensive or scary to little ones (remember it's "not-so-scary"!) you will be fine if you choose to have face paint or makeup as part of your costume. Since your party ticket allows you entrance to Magic Kingdom anytime after 4:00 PM, I imagine you will find many other Guests entering Magic Kingdom at that time already dressed in costume.
