Can you tell me what the difference is between the 4-Day Disney Select ticket and the 4-Day Discovery Disney Ticket for Florida Residents. Thanks,

    Hi Angela,

Both the Disney Select and the Discover Disney tickets are special offers for Florida residents like us. The Discover Disney ticket is a limited time offer that can be purchased through June 5, 2017 and must be used by June 9. They are about $60 cheaper than the Disney Select tickets that are the normal offer for Florida residents.

There are blockout dates for each. For the Discover Disney tickets, the only blocked out dates are May 27 through June 9 at Animal Kingdom. (Pandora -- The World of Avatar opens May 27.)

The Disney Select tickets are good for six months from first use or by December 16, 2018. The blockout dates are June 5-August 10 and December 18-31, 2017; and March 24-April 6and June 4-August 9, 2018.

If you plan to use the tickets by June 9 -- and you are okay with the Animal Kingdom blockout dates -- then the Discover Disney ticket is certainly a better value. However, if you want to extend your Disney fun beyond those dates or want to go to Animal Kingdom during the first few days after Pandora opens, then you may want to consider the Disney Select tickets instead.

If you find four days of Disney fun isn't enough, you can upgrade either of these tickets to a Florida resident annual pass by paying the difference between the cost of a pass and what you paid for these tickets. Simply visit a ticket window or Guest Relations location before these tickets expire.

I hope this is helpful, Anglea. Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and please let us know if you have any other questions. Several of us are Florida residents who are happy to assist. Enjoy!
