Hi, Can you tell me the currency used at Castaway Cay and the Bahamas? Are there places to purchase souvenirs there? Thanks Lisa

    Hi, Lisa!

On board a Disney ship and at Castaway Cay, you never have to carry cash. Your Key to the World Card (or stateroom key) is your all-access pass for:

    • Entry to your stateroom
    • Your ID on and off the ship
    • A charge card to purchase items on the ship or on the island
    • "Storage" for your photos taken during the course of your cruise

There are shops on Castaway Cay to purchase souvenirs or necessities, and there is much shopping available in Nassau -- offering everything from high-end shops to hand-made Bahamian crafts.

In the Bahamas, US Currency is widely accepted as well as most major credit cards. Therefore, there is really no reason to exchange your currency. I hope this helps you plan and gets you even more excited about your upcoming vacation. Let me know if you have more questions.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!

    Bon voyage,

    Andi
