What can you tell me about the Country Bear Jamboree? My grandmother says this is a must attaction, as it was something she took my dad to back in the early 70's, but I haven't heard much about this attraction in 2011, LOL! Thank you!

    Hi Kristie!

The Country Bear Jamboree is a 17-minute show performed by a cast of 18 "audio-animatronic," backwoods bears. While seated in the Grizzly Hall theater in Magic Kingdom's Frontierland, you'll be entertained by this cheery, country-styled musical revue and have a toe-tappin' good time!

It happens to be one of the last attractions developed personally by Walt Disney himself and has been a fixture at Walt Disney World since its opening in 1971. Definitely a true classic that takes me back to happy memories of my own first visit in the late 70's! Although the attraction may be showing its age as far as technological advancements are concerned, it still holds dear & true in the hearts of Disney fans and it sounds like your Grandmother may very well be one of those fans!

Knowing how much she must have enjoyed experiencing it with your dad in the 70's, I'd have to agree that for you, it should be a "must-do" attraction on your list. Just think of the joy she'll feel when you get to thank her for the recommendation and discuss your experience with her upon your return. That will be a 'Magical Moment' for sure!
