Hi, Lisa! Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Having a late flight home is almost like adding a bonus day onto your vacation. You are welcome to ask for a late check-out from your
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel room; however, a late check-out cannot be guaranteed. There is really no way to know the chances of receiving a late check-out as this is dependent on a variety of factors, such as how many new guests will be checking in to that resort hotel on that particular day.
The good news is that even if you are unable to obtain a late check-out, there are plenty of ways to pass the time until you must head to the airport to catch your flight home. Your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel's bell services will be happy to hold your bags for you while you head out for some last-minute fun. If you still have a day remaining on your
theme park tickets, you could squeeze in a couple of extra rides on your favorite
attractions. If you will not be visiting the
theme parks, you might want to head over to
Disney Springs for some shopping or a delicious meal. You are also free to explore all that the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels have to offer. Resort hopping is a great way to decide where you might like to stay on a future Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
Some of my most treasured vacation memories have been made while passing the time until a late flight home. On a recent girls' trip, we had an amazing early dinner at
'Ohana prior to heading to the airport. A few months ago, I was at the Walt Disney World Resort with some of my fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelists. Before flying home on a plane, we stopped by
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park for one more flight on the back of a mountain banshee at
Avatar Flight of Passage. I'm sure you will find the perfect way to soak in a little last-minute magic on your departure day as well.
See ya real soon!
Samantha
