Hello! What can you tell me about Captins Grille? Going after a day at Epcot. Should we walk or take the boat? How would you get back to POR afterward? Thanks.

Hi Jaynee! I will be heading to the Captains Grill in two days for lunch myself!

This often forgotten restaurant is located in the Yacht Club resort. It is an easy walk from the International Gateway entrance to Epcot. You will pass the Beach Club Resort and the Yacht Club is the next one on the right. Enter the lobby and veer right and you can't miss it. By the time you waited for a boat to take you to the marina drop off you could likely walk twice to that location so I never suggest the boat for the short trip.

To return to your resort the easiest way is to let them call a taxi for you. But that would likely cost about $15-$20.  You can walk out to the bus area for the Yacht Club and catch a bus to a park that might remain open for late hours such as the Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios and then transfer to the Port Orleans bus from there. Or you can take the long walk back into Epcot as long as it is before 9pm to head to the front of the park for your resort bus. It is a long walk and seems even longer at the end of a day. Your third option is to take the mile walk along the water or hop on the water taxi and head to Hollywood Studios that way and again transfer to your resort bus. A final thought is to catch the Downtown Disney bus from the Yacht Club and transfer at that location to the POR bus. Going from resort to resort is never easy which is why we usually spring for that taxi!
